I honestly can not thank everyone at the Maryborough enough. From the very first day meeting Ellis right through to Carmel helping with the room booking, Roisin was amazing from start to finish. Claire and her team on the night were superb. John, Fidelma, Johannes, and every single member of staff were unbelievable all weekend. There are no words to describe how grateful we are to you and all the team . Every single person we met in Maryborough was fantastic. Each one is as brilliant as the next.

It was just amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. No matter what was suggested or requested, there was no problem.

No detail was missed, down to the wine for my friend who is allergic to southern hemisphere wine!

Roisin was so chilled but soooooo capable, nothing was a problem. Denis believes that she actually fixed the weather for us on the day!

I can’t speak highly enough about the staff working at night. Claire was unbelievable , everyone kept checking in, were we ok? Did we need anything?

I have had so many comments on how amazing the food was, no delay, all the food arrived at the same time, and no tables were far behind any other, which I think is so important.

The day and night were on a schedule, the schedule slipped behind because of us, photos, speeches, etc, no problem, no stress, the team got us back on track without any fuss, without any drama, without any stress, which meant that we were not stressed and could literally just enjoy the day/night.

Everyone said how fab everything was, could not fault anything! High praise for all, which obviously meant so much to us, too.

The ballroom looked amazing. Nothing was too much hassle for anyone on the team.

I honestly would not have changed one single thing about it.

Absolutely perfect, everything was 10/10, the staff were very attentive and reassuring and were always around for questions and panics! The venue was stunning and we really couldn’t have asked for more!

The Maryborough is a beautiful hotel and the staff are amazing. Roisin and Mary were our wedding coordinators, and they could not do enough for us. They ensured that all our requests were met and were also quick to respond to all of our emails. We would have been lost without them in the planning of our day.
We were lucky we had beautiful weather on the day, as the grounds of the hotel are stunning. We had our ceremony at the hotel in the orangery and had our photoshoot in the grounds of the hotel. We have already received a sneak peek of our photographs, and they really are amazing. It was ideal for us to be able to do all of this in one location, as we did not have to spend time travelling elsewhere for photographs, as the day absolutely flies by.
We would also like to especially thank John, Claire and Luke, who looked after us and all our guests so well on the day. They could not have been nicer. I could not fault anything about the hotel. Carmel responsible for the bedrooms, was also so helpful. She kept us updated frequently and ensured all our requests were met.

We are both so delighted that we picked the Maryborough Hotel as the venue for our wedding in July. Everything was great - from booking, the menu tasting, the day itself and everything in between. We had the whole day in the Maryborough, including our ceremony in the Orangery, drinks reception in the gardens and our evening meal in the ballroom. All of the team were so helpful, including Ellis, who we originally met with to book our wedding, Roisin, who was a great help throughout the whole organisation process, and of course Clare and her team on the day were brilliant. The food was delicious and all of our guests enjoyed it. I would absolutely recommend the Maryborough Hotel as a wedding venue.

We couldn’t be happier with our wedding day at the Maryborough – it was everything we dreamed of and more. The venue was absolutely stunning, and the outdoor reception created the perfect atmosphere. Our guests were blown away by the beautiful setup, especially the canopies and the delicious finger food during the reception.

One of the biggest highlights of the day was the food – we’re still hearing rave reviews from our guests about how much there was and how amazing it all tasted!

We recently had our wedding at the Maryborough Hotel in Douglas, and it was truly the most magical experience from start to finish. From the moment we booked, the events team was professional, kind, and incredibly attentive. They made the planning process stress-free and enjoyable.
The venue itself is absolutely stunning – the gardens provided a beautiful backdrop for our photos, and the Orangery and reception spaces were elegant, romantic, and perfectly set up for the day. Our guests are still raving about the food, which was outstanding in both presentation and taste.
The staff went above and beyond to make everything run smoothly, and nothing ever felt too much trouble. A big shout out to Roisin, Mary & Claire for all their hard work leading up to the wedding. The attention to detail was impeccable, and we felt genuinely cared for throughout. Many of our guests stayed at the hotel and commented on how lovely and relaxing their experience was, from the rooms to the spa facilities.

We celebrated our wedding at the Maryborough Hotel, and we couldn’t recommend the hotel more highly. We had an absolutely incredible day from start to finish! Their professionalism, expertise and kindness helped to make the day as enjoyable as it could have been. Our wedding at The Maryborough Hotel was amazing! It was always at the top of our list, and after our first meeting, we were positive it was the venue for us. We felt very confident that the team there could help us create the day that we wanted. No ask was too big, and they helped us every step of the way.

Leading up to the day, they were fantastic to work with. They were always available to talk, quick to respond to emails and always willing to meet with us if we needed to discuss anything.

On the day, the team literally made the day better. From the second we woke up, they created an amazing atmosphere full of fun and excitement. They made sure they had everything, and they helped us with things we didn't even realise we needed. Our day would not have gone as smoothly as it did if it weren't for them.

Their years of experience in the wedding industry are extremely evident, but what made it so special to us was their personal touches. We felt like we were amongst friends throughout the day; they were so kind and generous to us and our guests. They were always making sure as the Bride & Groom, we were comfortable, enjoying ourselves and had everything we needed.

We cannot recommend The Maryborough enough, as they made our big day even more special.
It is one year on now, and we cannot wait to return for our first anniversary.

We had the most incredible wedding experience from start to finish. Our ceremony took place in the beautiful Orangery, followed by a drinks reception on the lawn – the setting was just perfect and everything we had dreamed of.

The planning process was absolutely seamless. Every member of staff we interacted with was helpful, professional, and genuinely invested in making our day special. Nothing was too much trouble – they were so accommodating of every request and detail.

A special thank you to Mary Bernard, who was the first person we met and instantly made us feel at ease. Ellis was a huge help in the run-up to the day, guiding us through all the finer details. We met Clare during our menu tasting and were delighted when she was also there on the wedding day itself, making sure everything ran smoothly. Florine welcomed us the day before and was such a reassuring presence throughout the day too.

We couldn’t have picked a better venue for our wedding reception than the Maryborough Hotel & Spa. Every member of staff was so incredibly helpful and helped our day go without a hitch.

The Orangery was such a beautiful location for the drinks reception. We had sunshine on the day too, which allowed people to enjoy the gardens. The food and service were spectacular, and so many of our guests commented on this afterwards.
