Cork City Hall

Cork City Hall

Opened in 1936, Cork City Hall replaced the original structure destroyed on 11 September 1920. Situated in the heart of the city, this iconic building now houses Cork City’s administration. Designed by architects Jones and Kelly, its six limestone Tuscan pillars and copper-domed clock tower are especially striking, particularly when illuminated at night. The limestone, like much of Cork’s architecture, was sourced from nearby Little Island.

Visitors can explore City Hall during office hours and marvel at its elegant Connemara marble staircase.

The venue also hosts a variety of concerts and events throughout the year.
