Things To Do during a Long Weekend in Cork

Looking for ways to experience all that our incredible city has to offer during a long weekend in Cork? Then check out this sample itinerary that is packed full of activity ideas for you and your partner, friends, or family to enjoy.

FRIDAY

Traverse the gates of the luxury oasis that is The Maryborough Hotel, enter our charming 18th Century Mansion and check in with our convivial Reception Team. Take sometime to explore the hotel and it’s surrounding gardens or spend some time relaxing in your room or on your balcony soaking up the sun (weather permitting of course!)

SATURDAY

Wake up bright and early this morning and get a head start on your day with a complimentary Full Irish and Continental Breakfast at Bellini’s. Afterwards, head into the hotel’s surrounding gardens for some fresh air. Follow this up with a walk down to the local Douglas village where you can visit Douglas Farmer’s Market (Saturday mornings only) or do some browsing in either of the shopping centres located in Douglas.

Looking to explore some more? Hop into your car and travel further afield to explore the Irish coastal walks and beaches such as Monkstown, Crosshaven or Kinsale. There’s always something more to see and do along Cork’s spectacular coastline. The glorious seascape is peppered with historic forts, lighthouses, and stunning views around every bend.
