We had our wedding at the Maryborough Hotel, and we genuinely couldn’t recommend it more. The Orangery and the grounds were absolutely beautiful, and the whole setting of the hotel was incredible. Its close location to the city centre and airport made it such an accessible location for any guests travelling from abroad.

Ellis, Claire and Roisín made sure we were fully supported throughout the whole wedding planning process. They are incredibly kind, responsive and couldn’t do more to make the day and the lead up to the wedding easier. They looked after absolutely everything from the centrepieces to printing the seating plan and setting up the celebrant’s table for the ceremony - we didn’t have to worry about anything.

We stayed in the bridal suite the night before, and it was the most relaxing experience and the best start to our wedding celebrations. From the thermal suites and spa, to room service for dinner and a great breakfast, the whole experience was incredible and calming - exactly what we wanted before the wedding.

Every member of staff at the Maryborough was absolutely amazing - from the staff at reception, the bar and restaurant staff, to the ladies at the spa and the lovely lady who cleaned our room on the morning of the wedding while we were at breakfast - everyone was so kind and made us feel so special. All of our family and guests have commented on the incredible service and how friendly and warm every member of the Maryborough team was.

The food was fantastic, and they made sure everyone’s drink was topped up, but most importantly, they made sure anyone with allergies or dietary requirements was well looked after with separate menus for every different type of requirement.

We are so incredibly grateful to the whole Maryborough team and can’t thank them enough. We know that we will be celebrating all anniversaries and special occasions here in the future. Ciara and Éamonn, April 2 2026

In the lead up to the wedding, we felt so supported. The wedding coordinators, Ellis and Roisin, were incredibly helpful, kind, and always quick to respond to emails. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they made the whole process feel so easy and stress-free. They even looked after printing our seating plan, which took another job off our list.

We were able to drop off several items during the week of the wedding, and the hotel not only stored everything safely but set it all up for us on the morning of the wedding. The team were so professional, yet made us feel completely at home and at ease.

The bridal party stayed in the suite the night before and it was such a relaxing, special experience. Our ceremony took place in the Orangery and it was beyond magical, truly everything we dreamed of and more. The staff flipped the room into a beautiful drinks reception space in minutes.

The food throughout the day was sublime, the drinks were flowing, and our guests are still raving about the hotel, the staff, and the food. We are so grateful to the entire Maryborough team for making our day so unforgettable. Thank you!

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our wedding. From the very start, Roisin, Claire, and the whole team made everything feel easy, personal, and genuinely special. They were incredibly kind to my dad when he wasn’t feeling well, which meant the world to us and allowed us to fully enjoy the day.

So many of our guests have said it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to — and the food was a huge part of that, absolutely amazing. The warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail really stood out. They truly deserve recognition for the experience they create — we’ll always be grateful for such a memorable day.

Cannot recommend The Maryborough enough. Just had my wedding there last summer, and all of the staff were wonderful, incredibly accommodating, and always on hand to help.

The food for the dinner was beautiful, the orangery is stunning, the spa is amazing. My wife and I are still beaming from ear to ear when we think about how great everyone was.

We had the most amazing day in June 2024 for our wedding. Everybody working at the Maryborough is an absolute professional and their attention to detail is unbelievable! From start to finish, we were exceptionally happy with how everything went. Ellis, our wedding coordinator was simply amazing, so accommodating, so helpful, and she had amazing ideas and suggestions for us. She really got us so excited for our big day, from the first time we met her and was always quick to respond to any email queries we had. We went with all of her recommendations because they just sounded fantastic! The menu testing was also a great experience, we loved it! Our wedding day was absolute perfection, from start to finish! Ellis was there for the day and ensured that everything ran so so smoothly and created such a wonderful, positive, fun atmosphere. The drinks reception was amazing, out in the garden, the bridal party as well as the guests were treated as royalty, it was so special. The entrance into the dining room was amazing, the staff created serious hype for us! The meal was absolutely gorgeous and the service was truly impeccable. Even the breakfast the next morning felt just as special! It was a day we will never forget and it really felt like we were VIPs, I would recommend the Maryborough to anyone getting married. I’d love to do it again and again!! Any time we pop in for lunch or coffee or dinner, the staff, especially Ellis recognise us and come over to chat, you really feel valued. Thank you so much to everyone in the Maryborough for making our day so unbelievably special and fun, and for giving us so much freedom of choice, yet also offering fantastic advice. Our experience with the Maryborough was nothing short of fantastic. From the day we initially met Mary, we were put completely at ease and knew we were in good hands. This continued over the 18 months that followed to our wedding day, making the lead up enjoyable and stress-free. On the day and over the wedding weekend, the whole team at the hotel went above and beyond for us and we felt so looked after.

On top of the service, the food was an absolute standout on the day. The hotel itself is amazing, we didn’t want to leave after 3 days and are already looking forward to another stay!

It was a seamless experience from start to finish, and really made our wedding day magical!

Maryborough was the most amazing hotel for our wedding, from the very first day we looked at the hotel to the days after the wedding! Anything we asked for, they made sure we had it and were always going above and beyond!

Ellis was amazing at organising the wedding and making sure we weren’t stressed about anything!
All the staff on the day itself were brilliant! The waiters, Bar staff, managers, reception, accommodation, and everyone were amazing to deal with, and their customer service left me in awe!

The food was excellent, and anyone we spoke to in the weeks after the wedding was still raving about how fabulous the food was.
Maryborough really know how to make you feel special on one of the biggest days of your life, but what really stood out to me is that all the guests felt special and cared for on the day too! The orangery was the most gorgeous setting for our drinks reception and looked like something from a fairytale with the decor. We also got gorgeous photos in the gardens and in the hotel itself. From the moment we viewed the Maryborough Hotel and Spa, we knew it was the venue for us. The Orangery provided such a beautiful backdrop for our ceremony, and it was turned around and ready for our drinks reception in a matter of minutes. The Sherrard suite was the perfect size for our 100 guests, and although it can cater to larger numbers, the room never felt too big.

However, as beautiful as the venue and gardens are, it was the staff that made our wedding in the Maryborough so special.

Ellis and Róisín were incredible from start to finish. They provided support, guidance, regular communication and quick answers to our endless questions. It was great to have a point of contact in the hotel that made the process so seamless. Carmel dealt with room bookings, amendments and cancellations with the utmost professionalism and good manner.

On the day itself, Claire and John were just the dream team! Their calm, professional and easy-going approach ensured that our wedding day ran smoothly and we felt like we were in safe hands throughout. Claire foresaw any difficulties before they happened, and everything was sorted in minutes with no stress! Months later, our families & friends still talk about how they were treated like royalty by all staff, but especially John. It made the day all the more special for them. John went above and beyond, helping us get beautiful pictures, holding my bouquet, providing reassuring words and humour during emotional moments and countless other things to help out during the day and make us feel completely at ease.

Luke and the bar staff were brilliant, no one had to wait long and they had a friendly word for everyone. There were countless other staff from the reception, the bar, the Sherrard and the housekeeping staff who were just exceptional. We had such a lovely positive experience from start to finish, and we could not recommend the Maryborough Hotel and Spa highly enough as a wedding venue!

I honestly can not thank everyone at the Maryborough enough. From the very first day meeting Ellis right through to Carmel helping with the room booking, Roisin was amazing from start to finish. Claire and her team on the night were superb. John, Fidelma, Johannes, and every single member of staff were unbelievable all weekend. There are no words to describe how grateful we are to you and all the team . Every single person we met in Maryborough was fantastic. Each one is as brilliant as the next.

It was just amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. No matter what was suggested or requested, there was no problem.

No detail was missed, down to the wine for my friend who is allergic to southern hemisphere wine!

Roisin was so chilled but soooooo capable, nothing was a problem. Denis believes that she actually fixed the weather for us on the day!

I can’t speak highly enough about the staff working at night. Claire was unbelievable , everyone kept checking in, were we ok? Did we need anything?

I have had so many comments on how amazing the food was, no delay, all the food arrived at the same time, and no tables were far behind any other, which I think is so important.

The day and night were on a schedule, the schedule slipped behind because of us, photos, speeches, etc, no problem, no stress, the team got us back on track without any fuss, without any drama, without any stress, which meant that we were not stressed and could literally just enjoy the day/night.

Everyone said how fab everything was, could not fault anything! High praise for all, which obviously meant so much to us, too.

The ballroom looked amazing. Nothing was too much hassle for anyone on the team.

I honestly would not have changed one single thing about it.
